Sikafloor 264 SG is a professional-grade, two-part, solvent-free, colored epoxy resin designed to create a high-build, seamless, and highly durable protective finish on concrete floors. Specially formulated as an “SG” (Silk-Gloss / Premium Grade) edition, it is highly optimized for flawless application in hot and tropical climatic conditions.
This specific variant comes pre-pigmented in RAL 7040 Window Grey, providing a clean, modern, light-medium grey finish that maximizes light reflectivity while effectively masking light dust and tire marks. Whether used as a smooth high-build roller coating or as a durable seal coat for anti-slip broadcast systems, it offers exceptional resistance to mechanical wear and chemical exposure.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Premium Silk-Gloss Finish (RAL 7040): Delivers a uniform, professional Window Grey color layer that transforms raw concrete into an attractive, bright, and modern industrial floor.
-
Solvent-Free & 100% Solids: Environmentally responsible formula with very low VOC emissions, conforming strictly to international green building standards like LEED.
-
High Mechanical & Abrasion Resistance: Thick protective layer easily withstands medium to heavy industrial foot traffic, pallet jacks, and forklift operations.
-
Liquid-Proof & Seamless: Forms an uninterrupted, impervious surface that blocks water, oils, fuels, and common industrial chemicals from penetrating the concrete substrate.
-
Versatile Application Systems: Can be applied as a smooth two-coat roller system, an orange-peel textured floor, or fully broadcasted with quartz sand to achieve high slip-resistance.
-
Easy Maintenance: The seamless gloss surface eliminates grout lines and pores, making the floor incredibly easy to sweep, pressure wash, or clean with industrial scrubbers.
Primary Applications
Sikafloor 264 SG is the industry standard choice for concrete protection in heavy-wear commercial and industrial environments, including:
-
Warehouses, distribution centers, and logistical storage hubs
-
Manufacturing facilities, assembly plants, and workshops
-
Multi-story and underground parking garage floors and loading ramps
-
Commercial vehicle maintenance bays and aircraft hangars
-
Beverage, food processing, and wet-process industrial zones
-
Mechanical rooms, laboratories, and large commercial showrooms

Application Summary
1. Surface Preparation
The concrete substrate must be clean, dry, and structurally sound (minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm²). All dust, oil, curing compounds, and loose debris must be completely removed via mechanical shot-blasting or diamond grinding to achieve an open-textured, profile surface.
2. Priming
For standard applications, prime the prepared floor using a low-viscosity epoxy primer such as Sikafloor 161. Allow the primer to cure to a tack-free state before applying the topcoats.
3. Mixing Protocol
Stir Part A (colored liquid) thoroughly with a low-speed electric mixer. Add the entire contents of Part B (hardener) into the Part A container. Mix continuously for 3 minutes until a completely uniform color and smooth consistency are achieved. Avoid trapping air by over-mixing.
4. Placement Methods
-
For Smooth Roller Coating: Apply in two coats using a high-quality, short-pile nylon roller in a crosswise pattern.
-
For Anti-Slip Broadcast: Apply a base coat, broadcast selected quartz aggregates to excess while wet, let cure, sweep off excess sand, and lock it down with a final seal coat of Sikafloor 264 SG.
5. Curing Times (at +30°C Tropical Climate)
-
Pot Life: ~15 minutes after mixing
-
Foot Traffic Ready: ~18 hours
-
Light Traffic Ready: ~2 days
-
Full Structural Cure: ~5 days
